Turbidofluorimeter BioTF. Methods and applications.
Total Microbial Count Rapid test (Expert).
Test Expert carries out Total Microbial Count (TMC) real time measurement. Micro test-tubes contain multi-component fluorescence probe, which starts to fluoresce when interacting with microorganisms. Complex nutrient media adds to fast and balanced microbial growth. Increment of fluorescent products in time is proportional to microbial activity. TMC is calculated automatically.
Raw milk microbial count rapid test (Start).
A test tube contains a fluorescence probe which interacts with enzyme systems of microorganisms . The specific rate of fluorescence is proportional to microbial count. Turbidofluorimeter BioTF registers the dynamics of fluorescence and Start application calculates the specific rate of fluorescence and corresponding microbial count.
Microbiological control of Pasteurized and UHT Milk (PAST).
Micro test-tubes contain multi-component fluorescence probe, which starts to fluoresce when interacting with microorganisms. The increment of fluorescent products in time is proportional to microbial activity. TMC is calculated automatically. BioTF instrument makes it possible to analyse 30 samples per hour. Pasteurized milk and UHT milk analysis takes 60 minutes. This method allows to detect singular microbial cells that do not grow on culture media but can cause milk spoilage.
Milk heat treatment efficiency control (ALP).
Rapid evaluation of milk heat treatment efficiency based alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity as an indicator of proper milk heat treatment. ALP activity is measured by kinetic method in biochemical reaction of hydrolysis of phosphate which is present in non-fluorescent substrate by ALP. As a result of hydrolysis non-fluorescent substrate transforms into its fluorescent form. The specific rate of fluorescence is proportional to ALP activity. ALP application registers the dynamics of fluorescence, calculates numerical value of ALP activity and estimates the efficiency of heat treatment process.
Rapid hygiene and total allergen monitoring.Proteine residue amount measurement (PRO)
Residue amount of protein is measured with protein concentration in the range of 0.1-100 mkg/ml. The intensity of fluorescence which occurs in the process of specific interaction of protein with fluorogenic substrate is measured. This method is highly sensitive and gives replicable results which makes it possible to establish critical limits in critical control points to estimate efficiency of hygiene control in food industry. “Pro” application calculates protein concentration and estimates the efficiency of hygienic measures according to critical limits using Pass/Fail system.
Turbidity measurement is based on light property to scatter and to be absorbed by the surface of particles suspended in a liquid in a given range of wavelengths. The measurement is carried out in a standard test-microtube. Turbidofluorimeter BioTF is factory calibrated . Turbidity is measured in FTU or McFarland units.
